Kyla Jeanne

Kyla Jeanne is a NYC-based actor and writer from Harlem.

Her love of theatre began at the Spence School, whose rich theatrical program allowed her to play in productions ranging from Carol Churchill’s Top Girls, to numerous Shakespeare plays, and devising a piece alongside her peers with the Tectonic Theatre Project. This passion led to her receiving a B.F.A. in Drama from the Tisch School, with a minor in dramatic literature.

While at NYU, she was able to study with Playwrights Horizons, Atlantic Theatre School, The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, and Stonestreet Studios. She is ever grateful for lifelong friends and collaborators, who have been invaluable in her continued work as an artist. From appearing as Sabine in The Civilian’s premiere of Black Feminist Video Game, to writing and directing her first short film “Revelation.”

When she’s not creating she is a proud dog mom of 2 adorable boys (Ollie Lee and Wally Bear), an avid player of The Sims 4, and puts her AMC A-lister status to work by seeing absolutely everything and anything she can.

Some current favorites include but are not limited to: Sinners, Black Bag, The Nice Guys.
